Roxi Returns

It's great to have her back! Our one-and-only, amazing warehouse manager Roxanne Meserve (Roxi) just returned from a Carribean cruise. The cruise stopped in St. Lucia, Barbados, Antigua, Tortola and St. Thomas. Roxi enjoyed a canopy tree zip-lining adventure. She enjoyed swimming with the dolphins but the stingrays were her favorite.

Symphony night - Schumann/Beethoven/Tchaikovsky

Brad O'Toole, David Schultz, Sabrina Schultz and Josh Clark were all at the Portland Symphony Orchestra's performance last night. The program was: SCHUMANN Manfred Overture, Op. 115, BEETHOVEN Violin Concerto in D Major, TCHAIKOVSKY Symphony No. 6, "Pathetique"

There was heated discussion over lunch about the second piece by Beethoven. Brad described it as sublime and enlightened. While Brad liked the violinist's technique, others thought it lacked emotion. The violin used by Michael Ludwig is the ex Mary Portman, Guarneri del Gesu, 1735.

Beth Cary Proud Mother of Baby Boy

Beth Cary, one of our skilled technicians for many years, had a baby boy Sunday, March 22nd. At 8.14 pounds, 21 inches long, Jack Maxwell White is much smaller than his older sister Ada, but we are willing to bet not for long! Jack looks so cute; we can't wait to meet him! Congratulations to Beth & family!

Natalie MacMaster on St. Patrick's Day

David Schultz, Demos Dadiotes, Karen Wilson and Sabrina Schultz all attended Natalie MacMaster's St. Patrick's Day show. MacMaster is the renown fiddler from Nova Scotia and played Celtic music. It was a lively show. MacMaster is the proud mother of a new baby girl, just 3 weeks old at this performance! Sabrina would have liked to see more of the men dancing. :)

Opus Speaker Cable Technicians Return From Vacation

Ralph and Betty Hamm have been with Transparent since 1985! Every year they take a few weeks off with their dogs: Sophie, Zoe and Oona to enjoy some Southern hospitality. Their favorite place to visit has been Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. We are happy they take time off to re-charge their batteries but we always miss them when they are gone! Welcome Back R&B! :)
